There’s nothing quite like the holiday season at Universal Orlando, and this year, my family and I had the chance to kick off our festivities with the Grinch Character Breakfast. If you’re a fan of Dr. Seuss, the Grinch, or simply love a festive family-friendly dining experience, this breakfast is one you don’t want to miss. From whimsical decorations to delicious food and unforgettable character interactions, it was a morning we’ll never forget. What is the Grinch Character Breakfast?
The Grinch Character Breakfast is a special seasonal event held at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in Seuss Landing, located inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure. During the holiday season, this breakfast combines delicious entree offerings with the opportunity to meet the Grinch himself and other beloved Dr. Seuss characters. It’s part of the larger Grinchmas celebration that transforms Seuss Landing into a holiday wonderland. We enjoyed meeting the Who's, Sam I am and of course the man of the hour, The Grinch.
How to Book Your Spot
Purchasing the separate ticket early is highly recommended for the Grinch Character Breakfast, as it’s one of the most popular holiday events at Universal Orlando and tends to sell out quickly. What to Expect
As soon as you step into Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous, you’re transported to a whimsical, Seussian world. The restaurant is decked out in festive holiday decorations, with oversized ornaments, colorful garlands, and cheerful music setting the tone. It’s the perfect backdrop for a Grinchmas celebration.
The breakfast entree options offer a wide variety that will suit every palate. From classic breakfast staples like scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes to unique holiday-themed treats, there’s something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the Grinch's Green Eggs and Ham and Martha May's Chicken and Waffles. There are also options for dietary restrictions, so everyone in the family can find something to enjoy. The highlight of the experience, of course, is meeting the Grinch. Unlike typical theme park meet-and-greets, this interaction is a full-on performance. The Grinch’s hilariously mischievous antics, witty remarks, and playful teasing make each encounter truly one-of-a-kind, creating unforgettable memories for kids and adults alike. True to character, he’s hilariously mischievous, making every interaction memorable. Whether he’s playfully teasing guests or posing for photos with his signature scowl, the Grinch is the star of the show. Other characters from the world of Dr. Seuss also make appearances, adding to the festive fun.
